EUDAT B2NOTE
B2Note is a digital annotation service. It allows authenticated users to create, search and manage annotations. An annotation is a keyword or commentary attached to a digital object (data collection, file) that explains or classifies it.
B2NOTE is a central service for annotating data content hosted within the EUDAT CDI. It is offered as a service applet to be integrated within other services, as for example in B2SHARE (https://b2share.eudat.eu). B2NOTE (https://b2note.eudat.eu) cannot be used as an independent service.

A. Personal data retrieved from your remote identity provider (EUDAT B2ACCESS):
The personal data retrieved from an external identity provider is needed to map you to the local account, contact you and provide a comfortable interface. The logfiles are needed to provide support in case you had problems with the service as well as retrospective examination of security incidents. The browser agent is part of logfiles. Some parts of personal data might be used for anonymised statistics.
Your annotator pseudonym is visible as a searchable result by other users of EUDAT B2NOTE.
Personal data can be accessed and reviewed in personal settings. To rectify the data released by EUDAT B2ACCESS, please update them at EUDAT B2ACCESS.
To request an account deletion, please contact us and provide your email address, your full name and your federated cloud id (to be found on the personal settings page).
Given consent of attribute releases to service providers within the EUDAT CDI can be withdrawn in B2ACCESS. To withdraw the consent to the DPS or ToU delete the account in B2ACCESS. If you delete your account, you will lose access to all B2* services as well as any date stored therein.
You can download your data from B2NOTE, after you logged in. In case of any problems, please contact the person above (Data controller and contact address).
After withdrawal of consent limited personal data may remain to maintain annotation information (see section “Personal data processed and the legal basis” item B). All personal and annotation data is deleted on the authenticated owner’s explicit request.
Your personal data will be protected according to the Code of Conduct for Service Providers, a common standard for the research and higher education sector to protect your privacy.
We may update our Privacy Statement from time to time. Updates of our Privacy Statement will be published at this location. Any amendments become effective upon publication. We therefore recommend that you regularly visit the site to keep yourself informed on possible updates.
